If You Were Impacted by the March 2024 IBEW Local No. 1 Data Incident, a Proposed Class Action Settlement May Affect Your Rights, and Entitle You to a Cash Payment.
A Settlement has been reached with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 1 (“IBEW” or “Defendant”) in a class action lawsuit. This class action lawsuit concerned the targeted cyberattack on IBEW's computer systems that occurred between March 31, 2024 and April 5, 2024 (the “Data Incident”). Certain files that contained private information were potentially accessed. These files may have contained personal employee information such as names and Social Security numbers.
The lawsuit is captioned Leavitt v. International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 1, Case No. 4:24-cv-01148, pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri (the “Litigation”).
IBEW denies all claims of wrongdoing or liability, and the Court has not decided who is right.
The parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit (the “Settlement”) to avoid the costs and risks, disruptions, and uncertainties of continuing the litigation.
Your rights are affected whether you act or don’t act. Please read the Notice and this website carefully and completely.
